Simone | Orthoptist
Simone is the resident Orthoptist at Dr Ferdinands' practice. After graduating with a degree in Orthoptics and Ophthalmic science from La Trobe University in 2011, she moved down to the Bellarine to live permanently.
Patients will usually see Simone before Dr Ferdinands, when she will test vision, check glasses and perform any necessary scans.
When she's not at work you will find Simone in her veggie garden or riding her horse.
Emily | Orthoptist
Emily is another of our resident Orthoptists. She has lived in Geelong all her life, except for the years spent in Melbourne obtaining her degree in Orthoptics from La Trobe University. She performs vision assessments for patients prior them seeing Dr Ferdinands.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys baking, and walking her lovely Golden Retriever Molly.
Vesna | Reception
Vesna's many years of working in Medical Administration began after she completed a Diploma in Business. She really enjoys interacting with all kinds of people and can speak Croatian and German fluently.
When not at work, Vesna enjoys family holidays to Europe with her husband and two kids. Her hobbies include photography, cooking and yoga.
Kasey | Reception
Kasey has worked across a variety of clinics and hospitals in the Geelong Region, and prides herself on her process-driven approach. She is involved in all aspects of patients administration and particularly enjoys making the surgical booking process a smooth journey for our patients.

Her interests include watching netball (go Vixens!), travelling, and spending time with her family.
Natalie | Reception
Natalie has had a background in legal and accounting administration roles prior to transitioning to medical reception and she enjoys building a rapport with patients.

Outside of work, family life keeps her busy and she enjoys catching up with friends and going to live music. She adores her pets and enjoys getting outdoors on the Surfcoast.
Shannon | Reception
Shannon has a background in administration and brings a warm, organised approach to her role as a medical receptionist. She genuinely enjoys patient interaction and takes pride in ensuring each visit runs smoothly and comfortably.
Outside of work, Shannon loves reading, spending time with her family, and staying active through exercise.
