Simone | Orthoptist
Simone is the resident Orthoptist at Dr Ferdinands' practice. After graduating with a degree in Orthoptics and Ophthalmic science from La Trobe University in 2011, she moved down to the Bellarine to live permanently.
Patients will usually see Simone before Dr Ferdinands, when she will test vision, check glasses and perform any necessary scans.
When she's not at work you will find Simone in her veggie garden or riding her horse.
Tu-Anh | Orthoptist
Tu-Anh has extensive experience as an Orthoptist and carries out comprehensive assessments for a wide range of eye conditions, before patients see Dr Ferdinands.
In her spare time, she enjoys catching up with family and friends.
Laura | Reception
Laura has worked in medical reception for many years and has a strong background in administrative information technology. She particularly enjoys getting to know the regular patients.
Outside of work Laura enjoys being outdoors with her family, spending time at the beach camping, bike riding with her kids and trying to keep the garden alive!
Vesna | Reception
Vesna's many years of working in Medical Administration began after she completed a Diploma in Business. She really enjoys interacting with all kinds of people and can speak Croatian and German fluently.
When not at work, Vesna enjoys family holidays to Europe with her husband and two kids. Her hobbies include photography, cooking and yoga.
Ryan | Reception
Ryan has a strong background in Ophthalmology reception and theatre bookings. He likes to ensure patients have a good experience right from their first interaction with our clinic.
Outside of work he enjoys getting active, especially with gym and football training. He also likes to get down to the golf course, and goes surfing regularly.
Monique | Reception
Monique’s skills in administration, systems analysis and training help strengthen Dr Ferdinands' team. Her cheerful manner, understanding and thoroughness make patients feel cared for and supported throughout their experience.
Monique enjoys serving her local community and can also be found playing the piano, cello and singing in her spare time.
